Living in Southern Oregon reminds us how important our wildland firefighters are. Their courage,
dedication, and long hours help protect our homes, our communities, and the places we love.
Today, let’s take a moment to thank the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to
keep us safe.
As homeowners, it’s also a good reminder to:
• Keep brush and dry vegetation trimmed back.
• Create defensible space around your home.
• Review your family’s emergency preparedness plan.
A little preparation today can make a big difference tomorrow.
